KUWEBA Arts and Crafts / Organik Bar

When we went to Coron, Palawan last month, we noticed there was not as much souvenir shops as other tourist spots in the Philippines (but trust me, the place is amazing!). Well, there were some but they mostly have similar stuff. One night, we went for dinner at La Sirenetta, having such a uniquely designed restaurant by the sea, I noticed a beautifully, handcrafted dream catcher by the bar. We asked where they got it and they pointed us to an awesome and one-of-a-kind store called, KUWEBA.

On our last day in Coron, we went there to check out their stuff... well, I really wanted to buy at least one dream catcher. They have a pretty unusual store - native, unique and organic. The best thing is, together with the store, they have an underground bar which they call the 'Organik Bar'. We were amazed that we actually stayed there for hours, not just to buy souvenirs (yes, souvenirS - we didn't just got one dream catcher, we also got really nice necklaces), we were able to chill and talk with their cool artists.

Here's a video I made.... hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did.

i find the bar entrance really cool. "Kuweba" it is! ;)

We got this really nice dream catcher. That bone in the middle is a REAL dog's skull. I love that almost everything in their shop is one-of-kind - talking about real art. ;)

xx, i.
